Anita's practice covers a broad range of advisory and transactional work, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, and commercial leasing.

Anita's previous work experience consists of a large spectrum of business law matters including mergers and acquisitions, banking/finance, joint ventures, general corporate advisory, commercial contracts, business structuring/reorganizations, and regulatory compliance.

Anita has substantial cross-border and international experience, having practiced law at a leading firm in Dubai and at another preeminent Bay Street firm where she completed a secondment in their New York office. Through these experiences, she has advised a diverse range of clients from multiple jurisdictions including Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia and from various industries such as professional services, banking and financial institutions, consumer goods, entertainment, hospitality and leisure, energy and infrastructure and manufacturing.

Anita graduated with high distinction in the top five percent of her class from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Juris Doctor in Law. She has been the recipient of various awards and scholarships including the Gowlings Prize in Corporate Finance for highest achievement in Venture Capital Finance and the Gilbert’s Fellowship awarded by Gilberts LLP and the Centre for Innovation, Law and Policy at the University of Toronto. Anita also completed a semester abroad at the University of Amsterdam where she gained familiarity with European Union and international corporate/commercial law.

Having studied, lived and worked in Toronto, Dubai, New York and Amsterdam, Anita has a unique multi-faceted perspective and skill set which have provided her with the ability to build strong relationships with clients from all walks of life, backgrounds, industries, and geographical locations.
