Professional Experience
I am excited to return to McMillan after completing my summer articles in 2010. My experience at the Vancouver office has been defined by a supportive learning environment and excellent working relationships. Students are treated as equals within the firm, and our contributions are both valued and necessary. The firm encourages students to develop their interests, providing the mentoring opportunities and resources to do so.
I graduated with a J.D. from the University of Victoria in April 2011. During my time at law school, I supplemented my education by participating in the Environmental Law Centre and the Bertha Wilson Constitutional Moot. I was also actively involved in the Law Students' Society at UVic, acting as Social Coordinator for the 2009/2010 academic year and President for the 2010/2011 academic year. In my final year at UVic, I received a student-nominated award for service to the law school.
I also completed my undergraduate degree at UVic, obtaining a B.A. (Honours) in English with a minor in Professional Writing in 2008. Outside of my studies, I worked as a copyeditor and research assistant for several professors.
My interests include non-fiction writing and fitness, and in my spare time I try and take in all that Vancouver has to offer.
