Professional Activities

David Mendicino joined the firm as an associate in the Securities & Corporate Finance Law Group in the Toronto office in September 2007. His practice focuses on public and private equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions and assisting public companies with regulatory compliance matters.

Prior to entering law school, David gained legal experience during his time at another Toronto law firm, as well as acting as a student member of the University of Toronto Judicial Tribunal. David was also a Research Assistant at Osgoode Hall Law School where he conducted research and prepared memoranda in connection with Canadian and United States health and tort law.

• Acted for the Allen-Vanguard Corporation in its recapitalization and acquisition by Versa Capital Management, Inc. in December 2009.
• Acted for Detour Gold Corporation in a bought deal offering with gross proceeds of C$275 million in 2009.
• Acted for Teck Resources Limited in a private placement financing in the U.S. and Canada of US$4.225 billion in aggregate principal amount of senior secured notes in 2009.
• Acted for the underwriters in a bought deal offering with gross proceeds of C$402 million for Osisko Mining Corporation in 2009.
