Professional Experience
I am greatly looking forward to my articling term with the firm in 2011. From my interactions with the members of the firm I have already met, I am confident that my experience at the firm will be an exciting and successful one.
While completing my Juris Doctor at the University of Western Ontario, I spent my summers working as a research assistant primarily involved in a LSUC funded study looking to measure intellectual property and related personal and business legal needs across the province. I also spent time as a teaching assistant for a class in Business and Information Law offered to students at the University of Waterloo. During the academic term, I volunteered with the Community Legal Services legal aid clinic at UWO, and, in my final year, assisted in the establishment of a trial program for intellectual property intakes at the clinic stemming from my previous work with the legal needs study.
During my degree at University of Western Ontario, I successfully attained a concentration in Intellectual Property, Information and Technology law, and was the recipient of an award in Industrial & Intellectual Property and a prize in Intellectual Property. Prior to my JD, I completed my BAH with Dean's Distinction in English Literature from Queen's University.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and writing fiction, trying and failing to keep apprised of the music scene, as well as film, food and travel.
