Before coming to Calgary, I received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Northern British Columbia, where I was also a member of the varsity basketball and soccer teams.  I recently completed my second year of law school at the University of Calgary. In my leisure time I enjoy traveling and outdoor activities.  As an avid soccer fan, I look forward to an exciting World Cup summer.

The majority of my past work and volunteer experience has involved working in the community as a mentor and counselor.  As a member of the RCMP Role Model Program I spoke about positive life choices at school events and acted as a coach and mentor.  As a Youth Services Officer with Service Canada, I counseled teens regarding employment and education opportunities.  At the University of Calgary I have continued this trend as a member of the Student Family Law program.

From the first interview, the people at McMillan LLP impressed me with their warmth and sincerity and the overall firm culture. I was immediately welcomed and made to feel included.  I am excited by the opportunity to gain legal experience in a multi faceted practice, and particularly in the area of oil and gas.
