Pierre-Christian is a lawyer in the firm's Business Law, Commercial Real Estate and Competition Law Groups. His areas of practice are diverse, focusing mainly on mergers and acquisitions as well as on various real estate transactions, including purchase and sale of properties, commercial leasing and real estate financing. He frequently acts for both vendors and purchasers with respect to the sale of multi-unit residential, industrial and commercial properties, as well as for developers on large development projects. He also advises clients on a broad range of commercial matters, including regulatory compliance, corporate governance, corporate criminal liability, white collar crime, privacy, information technology, consumer protection, environmental law and government procurement.

Pierre-Christian joined McMillan as a student in 2012 and completed his articles with the firm in 2013. He completed his civil law degree (LLB – International Profile) at Université Laval in 2012 and his common law degree (JD) at Université de Montréal in 2017. While in law school, he studied during one semester at Bucerius Law School, in Hamburg, Germany, as part of the Exchange Program in International and Comparative Business Law. Pierre-Christian also completed a research internship of two semesters at the Quebec Superior Court for Soldevila J. and La Rosa J. In the past, he has worked for Revenu Québec, in the corporate services and legal department of the Québec Enterprise Register.

Pierre-Christian is the author of several scholarly articles on a vast array of topics relating to business law and regularly contributes to books and peer-reviewed journals. In particular, he is a contributing collaborator to Charles Chevrette's and Wayne Gray's textbook Québec Business Corporations Act: Commentary and Analysis, published at Yvon Blais Editions. He is also involved in his community, being a director of CODEM and Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi Centre-Sud | Plateau Mont-Royal | Mile-End, nonprofit organizations, and providing free (pro bono) legal advice to various non-profit organizations.

  • acted for Bunge Canada in the sale to G3 Global Grain Group, a joint venture between U.S. agrifood company Bunge Ltd. and a unit of Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Co. (SALIC Canada Ltd.), of a 50.1 percent stake in The Canadian Wheat Board, for a total subscription amount of approximately $250 million
  • acted for the promoter of YUL Condominiums, one of the largest condominium projects in Downtown Montreal (800 units in two 38-storey towers and 17 town houses with a value of approximately $300 million) in connection with its structuring, foreign investment and construction work
  • acted for institutional investors in the sale of one of the largest IT consulting firms in the Province of Quebec to an information technology and strategic direction company operating in Canada and Europe
  • acquisition of a residential complex comprising more than 200 units located in the Greater Montreal area
  • acquisition of a Canadian confectionary company by one of the largest chocolate manufacturers in the world
  • acted for the developer of a major mixed-use residential/commercial property in downtown Toronto in connection with the sale of the retail component thereof
  • sale of a Canadian wireless telecommunications operator and money services provider
  • sale of a developer, manufacturer and distributor of 3D measurement technologies and provider of 3D engineering services to a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electro-mechanical devices
  • acquisition of a high-rise residential property on the island of Montreal
  • sale of an international chemical products manufacturer
  • sale of a North American importer, distributor and manufacturer of home fashion products and accessories to a leading Canadian equity firm
  • acquisition of an office products supplier and a document equipment solution company by a leading provider of business technology solutions
  • acquisition of a church located on the Island of Montreal for revalorization and partial transformation in commercial and community space (Salon 1861)
  • sale of the assets of a North-American group of radiopharmacies
