Professional Experience
I recently graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School. After summering in the firm's Litigation department in 2010, I am thrilled to return to the firm.
Prior to law school, I received a Bachelor of Journalism (Highest Honours) degree from Carleton University, where I also majored in Economics. Outside of my coursework, I alternated between broadcast production and reporting roles while interning for a national television network, where I aired two of my reports to the six o'clock news. While at Carleton, I also led discussion groups as an economics teaching assistant, wrote for the Charlatan student newspaper, and participated in intercollegiate debate. Upon graduating, I received an award for my political reporting.
At Osgoode, I served as a Senior Editor for the Osgoode Hall Law Journal, a caseworker at Community & Legal Aid Services Programme (CLASP), the school's legal aid clinic, and an Orientation Leader. In my final year, I developed, and then argued, a client's case before the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, served as a research assistant for an Osgoode professor, and published a paper in the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law Review.
In my spare time, I enjoy learning golf (most of the time), am an avid moviegoer, and try to pack my bags for new destinations whenever I can. I maintain a regular "news diet" and particularly enjoy keeping up with politics.
I am happy to be articling at a firm that combines the highest of practice standards with a warm, collegial work environment and stellar training resources for new hires. I look forward to exploring all of the firm's practice areas during my articles.
