McMillan is pleased to announce that it has been nominated in the "Regional firm of the year – Americas" category in the annual Global Competition Review (GCR) Awards for 2014. Only one other Canadian law firm is nominated.

Competition Partner Casey Halladay has been nominated in the "Lawyer of the Year - 40 and under" category. Casey is one of eight nominees short-listed for the award, and is the only Canadian lawyer to have been nominated.

The firm is also nominated in the "Behavioural Matter of the Year – Americas" category for its successful defence of MasterCard in civil litigation brought by the Competition Bureau in the Competition Tribunal. Competition and Antitrust Group Co-Chair James Musgrove led the McMillan defence team in that matter.

McMillan also served as Canadian counsel to American Airlines in its successful merger with US Airways, a transaction that is nominated for "Matter of the Year".

The awards ceremony will be held on March 25, 2014 in Washington, DC. For more information, please click here.
